Flattop it would have closed (to some extent) a hole in the compression circuit to try to stop oil flowing so fast. pre cartridges they had very little control over damping with the oil flowing through holes bit depending on the size and number of holes. no low speed damping, small range of good damping, too much high speed damping. that addition of anti dive must have made them unpleasant over braking bumps. |
