From Superbike Planet. Loudon race in the 1980s. See #26, Adamo on a Leoni-built NCR Pantah frame. Attachment:

That's not Loudon, either Bryar or NHIS. Can you post a link to that article? |

I don't believe AMA Superbikes ever ran at Bridgehampton. |

That also would be Wes Cooley on 34. And "flying "Fred Merkel on 84. Boucher. |

Damn it Brad - I'd forgotten about my mission to find out what track that photo was taken at - and now it's back. I've 99% narrowed the year down to 1984, but I can't find out if Rich Oliver's national number was 27 in 1983, when he only raced selected AMA Superbike races on a Kawasaki but his race number is not listed in the results. Wes Cooley was on a Honda in 1985 and Fred Merkel was number 1 in 1985. There were 13 Superbike races at 11 different tracks in 1984. The tracks that I'm not sure if there is/was a foot bridge crossing the track just behind the start line are Riverside, Sears Point, Road America, Pocono, Portland, and Brainerd. But, the track maps I'm finding online aren't much help. As far as Adamo's bike - has that been discussed on this forum? Can't find anything on it now either. Bill |
