Finished my 1986 F3; originally bought from a lovely guy in Japan who did a great job and have gone over it and added the Oscam 16" wheels (of which I consider very rare-tell me if you know otherwise) that are wearing the new SHINKO tyres for 16" wheels. 540cc upgrade kit with FCR 35mm carbs. enjoy! Sean.

They are interesting wheels. They are two piece, two halves bolted together all around the inside flange. They are pretty light as well. I have a set that came on an F1 that I bought that was in a garage fire. I have to dig up those pictures as they are frightening. They would be nice replacements for a Laguna Seca F1. Really nice job on the bike, congratulations! Lou

they are heavier than the 2 piece Monjuich type wheels I have but so much more interesting. I believe they were OSCAM special wheels made for the PASO and only a few sets were made before the factory burnt down. Can anybody verify/debunk this information? thanks Sean

Hey Sean, I am keen to hear how well the Shinko 16" tyres work once you have given them a good test.
I am suspecting by how your spell tyre - you are in Australia? ... how much did it cost to ship them out here?

Is this your bike?

https://www.facebook.com/pages/16-inch- ... 2147568448 ;) Guys, let's see some more likes on Sean's campaign page for 16" tyres :!:
It is a sweet looking bike and better looking now with those Oscam wheels you have on it!

yes Mike thats my bike before the 2nd stage mod and the page I started when I sent a letter to Bridgestone's tyre development team to try to get the 16" tyres made. All credit to Brendon who originally made the bike and sold it to me!
As for unseen parts the frame bracing is made by OVER racing in Suzuka; an item they dont make anymore. Mr Sato the owner is a lovely guy and also is Mr Kataoka of DeLight Motorcycles in Suzuka. The are both amazing when it comes to bikes and the enthusiasm that we all have. If anyone is going to Japan, you must go to Suzuka and drop in to all the bike factories: TSR, Moriwaki, Over, Delight, Battle Factory...the list is almost endless.

cheers

Sean

I got a set of shinkos a couple of weeks ago for a 906 customer. gowies retail them for $450 plus postage, about $495 delivered to Melbourne. owner said it felt like it needed more effort to turn it.

cool 400 sean.
