Here is another from 1986 Laguna Seca. No fancy semi truck. The next year there was a huge tent that Cagiva North America provided for Marco and Jimmy and also Fred Eiker who rode Brian Smith's F1, Fred had contact while running 3rd and went down in 1987. (no not with me)

Here is another 80's shot of Reno standing next to Jimmi Adama. this time at the BOTT at Daytona 1983, I am stamding next to Tony Rutter. That was the year that Tony passed Jimmi on the banking, and I had to strip my motor to proove that it was 750 cc.

Got to love a good old protest :D .
Did you receive any cash when it was proved not oversized? In the local clubs here in Southern California you had to put up money to protest and if you weren't cheating you received the money.

No I did not !, TR finished third behind Jimmi Adamo and Jay Springsteen who won that race, he should have been second but TR had not been told that the finish line was way passed the start line, and when he crossed what he thought was the finish line he slowed and Jimmi nipped past. I was the only one that had to strip my motor.

Protests started costing money way back because some guys liked watching you tear the bike apart for no reason. I think it was around $250 at one point because of gaskets etc...

Yeah but they only pulled the horiz. cyl. The 92mm piston was always in the vertical hole. Least thats what I heard.

I had to take both cylinders of TR's 750 TT1. The bore on both cylinders was 88mm. I have never heard of a o/s piston in the rear cylinder !
