Great pics archimedes!

I saw you capture the moment when Roy Thursby was helping out with my brakes...very cool! I was stressing about the following day's track day (which went great). Thanks for clicking!

Both he and Pat Slinn were caught helping out everywhere - what a great pair.

greetings Scott,

thanks for the accolade.
awesome vibe for these 3 days . . . .amazing --
i remember walking into the DucStock area thursday
afternoon & sensing this was gonna be a special
time. i just kept the camera pointing in any direction
i felt emotion ---- somehow, those serendipitous moments
were filled with a TT2, Pat &/or Roy and many other
gearheads with a thirst for involvement.
so cool to meet everyone & thanks to the guys from
NCR, the DucStock staff & to Vicki for a great run.

Great pics! Yeah, it was one of those magic events that just kept surprising me. I put a post up on the loudbike blog with a few of the moments that really stuck with me. http://www.loudbike.com.

Great to meet with all of you!

hey Steve,

just read your blog (again!) . . . . great words to describe just
what i felt. i really must write this as i think you hit the nail on
the head ---- how many of us have participated/attended bike events
& just felt a little distanced from what we expected . . . . those
moments when we fit ourselves into our personal arena of the bike, tools
& the singular ambition prevalent in this time of these unique efforts (back
in our shops).

i didn't get the opportunity to partake in the bench moments at the
Hampton Inn, but it seems those moments carried into the day's
efforts back at Barber's & ultimately to the DucStock area.
because, there within the DucStock arena --- distanced participants was not
the norm! my camera was as hard at work as the occupants of its
lens. guys were twisting throttles, getting tool boxes, asking questions,
getting answers --- really connecting with each other. as you said ---
the bike was the unique medium bridging the efforts of the committed passion.

it was cool to meet Scott K. & Steve (TT2 painter) sat night at the DucShop pit party,
then the next day to sit for 15 minutes with Rich & listen to him relishing his
days participating in the BOTT championship series throughout the NE.
we both remembered those weekends at Loudon -- oh what a team of glee
we held for the content of our memories describing the tumultuous bellows
of the glorious BOTT race start. together, we were partners in the admission
of loss for this glorious series.

thanks for putting such a nice compendium of thoughts for those of us
to read on the 1st trip & to peruse once again --- on the return.

Great meeting you too Scott. It's fun meeting people who have the same excitement for motorcycles and specifically an attraction to the allure of Ducati. It was obvious we were on the same wavelength when you described those bimota clip-ons...

I'm just scratching the surface in comparison to the depth of knowledge that was present at Barber. And even though I'm just starting out with this TT thing, I was overwhelmed by the handshakes and pats on the back I received as we rolled under the forum tent. And I was blown away again by the willingness of everyone to lend a hand to prep me for the trackday.

Steve - you nailed that aspect for me... I know my family and friends saw the physical toll my hard work was taking in my bleary eyes as Barber got closer, but none of them understood what was driving me.... the excitement that goes along with obsession - full committment to the goal of getting to Barber. It was awesome - hard for me to imagine, given my "real life" committments. Now I may have to carve out a bit more time from real life next summer for track days, because I've rekindled my love for going fast (well, at least what I consider fast)... This bike is going to be crazy fun!
