Hey Flattop, That looks like it will be a cool event.....I hope the weather will cooperate. I will probably try to go as a spectator. I reluctantly sold my F1 so I wont be on it. There are a few guyz trying to go, maybe 3 or so F1's if we are lucky....including my old bike. I need to get that Alazzurra I have going so I at least have one pantah that rides. Here is Richard on my old bike last weekend (turn the volume up:-): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bV4y-9E ... sBP1exeEdEAnybody else going??? Lets get some Pantahs out there..... See ya, Clay

Hi Cal... So how does the new owner like the F1? There is a lot of nice kit on that bike. Is this beauty one of the F1's you mentioned? Regards... Flattop

Hey Cal... Did you happen to attend the track day? The EX looks pretty sexy with that license plate on her.

Hi..... I did go to Willow, it was a rare beautiful day out there. Willow is in the high desert and it can be beautiful, but usually its too hot or too cold or too windy. There was a great turn out of bikes and they were riding the small course/Streets of Willow.
Ron was there on his #118 bike and Richard on my old bike. Ron had a good day riding. Richard on my old bike not so good, he got one good session in then the bike would not start for the second session. He had put a new lithium battery in it and it looks like it fried. It was putting out 3 volts even after recharging it. That bike is on total loss so its not gonna run on 3 volts. He didnt have a spare so that was all for the day. Hopefully it was just a defective battery.
See ya, Clay

Hi all,
Its been a while on the forum, hanging out more on social media nowadays and on the track occasionally. I moved to the US late 2019 for work and brought my Santa Monica in parts to avoid the formal export, import and DMV things since I ended up not riding a lot in the Netherlands anyway apart from racing it.
Living in California with my wife is a fun new adventure and bikes and tracks sure would be part of it but with COVID all our plans went sideways but we still have a great time out here. As a quarantine job I build up an engine for my localy bought 620 Multistrada that I bought with engine issues and after that build I up the Santa again. Have since then raced it twice on Big Willow and Streets of Willow. Love both tracks but had to adjust myself from the smooth tarmac of Assen into the Californian tarmac with many cracks but after the initial hesitation you'll find out there is plenty of grip and I had 2 great rides. Big Willow was very hot, 42 Degrees Celsius and apart from turn 9 the track was great. Streets of Willow was FUN! At some point started sliding meaning I was having a good day and came into a zone I haven't been yet with these tires.
I met with Gary, Clay and Richard who now owns Clays F1 and is serious about riding it so was present on both trackdays. Who else wants to join? Next Classic Trackday is on April 10th but I want to go out earlier and want to ride ChuckWalla and (why not) Laguna Seca as well. So far I could ride with the open and loud 2 in 1 so am a very happy camper since that was something we could not do anymore in the Netherlands since the early 90's.
Cheers, Ron
