“Funny you should mention” is Lou’s all-time favorite expression but I’ll use it. We thought a few options for a 2015 symposuim which included possibly taking a year off. The other option was going to NJMP (New Jersey for all you non locals along) with a classic car and bike race on Sept 19-20. The other possible option is back at NHMS (New Hampshire) Sept 12-13th along with the club race. Both dates have follow on track day activities for the Monday. I am looking into both options. Thoughts?

NJMP is sounding more interesting to me because it's somewhere besides NHMS. The vintage race group is USCRA, but who's running the Monday track day?

Just a reminder that there are two completely separate tracks at NJMP.

Yes. The USCRA schedule for the weekend of Sept 18-20 says the Lightning Course.

NJMP did verify that USCRA will be racing on the Lightning Course 9/19-20, a combined event with the Vintage Racer Group (vintage race cars).

NJMP replied to an email question that Team ProMotion will be running a track day on the Thunderbolt circuit on 9/21/2015.

NJMP gets my vote - it's a nice facility (and a little only an hour from home). It's close to enough metro areas to draw people that might not make the trek to NH. The tracktime gets shared with the cars, but the motorcycle event is all vintage, which I liked - especially the sidecars - and the turnout seemed good to me.

Combined TT and RS Symposium? :)

We were so impressed with the buzz of the TT Symposiums of the past that we initiated a last minute RS symposium in November of 2014 with a pretty good showing. Several RS owners and myself have expressed an interest in combining the 2nd annual RS Reunion with a TT Reunion this coming Fall 2015 at Palm Beach International Speedway ( PBIR ). We are in the midst of investigating the options for dates, guest rider(s), mechanic (s) and speaker(s). We'd like to have a dinner or BBQ on Friday evening either at the pavilion at PBIR or other local spot. Could be a blast!

Date: 1st choice at this time is the second week of December, Thursday the 10th and Friday the 11th; with other time slots Nov 12th & 13th, and final possibility of 2nd week in January.

The weather is typically perfect in December and the first couple weeks of January.

We would be open to any and all suggestions.

cheers,

Tom
