2 May at 03:14 The Mighty Geoffrey Duke O.B.E., passed away on Friday 1st May at Elder Grange Nursing Home, Isle of Man, aged 92. Six-times World Motorcycling Champion, Sportsman of the Year in 1951, six-times TT winner. A true ground-breaker, mastered many machines, Norton, BMW, Gilera. Invented 1 piece leathers. Always conducted himself in true "Gentleman style" and set standards many failed to achieve. |
