I don't understand why they should do that : Ducati would bring the value of the original bikes down
Buy a Sport, trim the sidecovers, fit Borrani 18",a disc at the rear and second front, tank and fairing and VOILA : le nouveau SS est arrivé
.Just as fake as doing it with some new produced Ducati parts.
Unless You begin tampering with the numbers on the frames and cases to get the most $$$ from your "investment".
And then it turns into fraude.
On the other side : Ducati is regenerating the interest in the old SS, being out of reach for everyone but the richer older public who use it twice a year.
Maybe it's time to sell my replica SS
