Don't know where else to put this, but as I feared, Speed TV will likely not being showing WSBK racing, or anything else this year. As reported by Superbike Planet today. I guess we need more NASCAR talking heads (but no racing there), days and days of car auctions, and cheap half-hour crap shows --- instead of real racing. MikeV

Hi Mike,
In all seriousness, is there any way to watch WSBK over the internet in the US? The only way to get SpeedTV on Dish has been to subscribe to a premium package, and I have refused to pay that much a month for TV for years. MotoGP you can get on your computer, but I still can't find a way to get WSBK, which is what I really miss.

Sure is. It depends on what inputs your tv has and what outputs your computer has and how you want them setup / located. More and more tv's are now coming with internet browsers etc built in (Smart TV), so these don't even need a computer if you can browse to a video stream. I have the computer in my study which acts as a media server and then I watch computer based media on the TV through the xbox360. I also use the laptop and vga output to a smaller tv in the bedroom. The tv we take camping has a usb port, so we just put movies, tv shows etc on an external hdd. If you're an Apple fan the apple tv unit can be used in the same way.

If you let me know how you want it to work, then I can give you some ideas on how to hook it up.

shmokica,

Thank you, I think? :? :? :?

I know what a bus port is and the TV and the computer both have those, plus other plug fittings.
I'll try plugging the pc in to the tv and see if I can not kill both of them. :ugeek: :ugeek:

The problem I have with this is there are no gears, carbs, cams, etc that I can see working and understand what's going on.
And I know these things can sense I'm inferior to them and usually give me a hard time.

I don't see it on the TV schedule for this weekend, or the Tuesday after, Bill. Do see "RU Faster than a Redneck", "Pimp My Ride", and more NASCAR talk shows. I think they still have things listed, and just want us to read about it. MikeV

Per Superbike Planet:

Updated: Al Jazeera To Broadcast WSBK In the USA
Tuesday, February 19, 2013

then it says...........maybe

I don't get Speed on my satellite package, so I avoid tormenting myself by checking their schedule. The phone company here is now stringing new fiber optic lines and will be offering a new TV cable service in a few months that supposedly will offer a la carte choices. Sounds hopeful, but we'll see.
