In 1983 Jimmy Adamo won the AMA Twins GP championship on a TT2. This bike was then kitted to TT1 spec and continued to race for Team Sure Fire (later on known as Team Leoni). He also won the 1985 twins race at Laguna Seca on the same machine. Reno Leoni sold the bike to his friend, Giovani Caruso who then sold it to Leonard (Chuck) Krancher. Chuck had owned the bike for probably 14 years. As per his agreement with Giovani, Chuck called him and gave him first right of refusal to buy the bike back. Pretty honorable after all those years if you ask me. Giovani decided against the purchase and Chuck offered the bike to me. Just received her yesterday! She's old and tired like her new owner, but she still looks like a young girl to me. Lou

Here is a great picture of Jimmy being interviewed at Laguna seca 1985 with the TT. Rich Chappa provided it to me so that I could scan & share it.

I have not understood anything. Lou has bought another bike?

That bike? Please I want to know.

Sentences short and simple. Only for your boring Italian friend.

Hi Carlo, yes I bought another bike. I have wanted to buy this bike for many years and finally had the opportunity. I will probably have to sell my replica when its done to pay for this one, but it is worth it. Yes it is the bike in the pictures, and no, you are not boring! Lou
