Giorgio Casolari owned a farm in the via Bruschetti in Bologna, full of Ducati stuff.
Those who have been there, usually had to turn back a few times because they missed the small gravelpath between the railwaybridges :D
Made some parts , like camshafts with GM on them, exhausts and other parts.

Later moved to Calderara or San Lazzaro (can't remember which) but been there and met Syd T and Rino C shopping ;)

Carlo will know ?

ciao
ducadini

Giorgio is alive and well and working at Pistal Pistons. He was at the Symposium in Assen. He is a really great guy. When he started to re-introduce Giocamoto into the USA is when I met him in the early 90's. I picked him and his partner Bucci up at the airport. We immediately hit it off. Next time he came in he brought me Giocamoto polo shirts with my name 'Luigi' embroidered on them! He worked at NCR when he was a teen and has tremendous knowledge of Ducati's. The stories he can tell you about our favorite era of Ducati should be written into a book! He was a sponsor of Jimmy Adamo, and Jimmy was a Giocamoto dealer in the states. He loved Jimmy. Giocamoto was bought by Ducati and became Ducati Performance. Not Giorgio's doing, but that's another story. Lou

Thanx all for answering/educating me on some of my "what is this" type of questions. I will try to get myself up to speed on Ducati history soon, in just a couple more years.

Shouldn't be saying this : ruines all my chances to score goodies around the world.
When everybody is looking for GIACOMOTO parts (nothing to do with Giacomo A), the rest can find parts of GioCaMoto ;) ;)

ciao

Ha! you are correct Ducadini! I am not a very good speller, even when I read the name! OK fixed! Thanks for the correction. Lou
