Maybe Pat could tell us more about this. I just noticed the clear bubbles out in front of the handlebars on this Tony Rutter TT2. See the four extra fasteners on that area of the fairing. MikeV

This was quite a common practice back in the day for the Isle of man circuit. Similar principle as the more modern "double bubble" screen. Every little counts over there. Although my 750 TT1 is now on the boat for the Classic TT fitted with a std screen, i've now found a taller pattern which will be going in the suitcase with me next month (together with a growing list of other things i've not packed in the crate) Ha ha !

I am just doing the research to build a replica of this exact bike! I think Pat said it was from a helmet bubble. He cut them down. How about it Pat? I was just looking at some bubble style face shields to cut down! Lou

If you are doing this one Lou, then I will have to completely re-do the No. 8. MikeV

Here ye go, manufactured here in the uk. LINK http://www.bobheathvisors.co.uk/accessories.html

I raced sidecar at the TT but used a standard flex helmet visor and cut that down.

Those would make it way too easy.
