 Post subject: original Ducati bike stand

After 15 years I finally restored my TT1 bike stand! It was missing the cross brace and someone had welded furniture casters to the bottom. It also didn't lift the bike quite enough to be stable. I didn't want to chop it up, I wanted to leave it as original as possible. I bent and flattened the cross brace, welded it in, and made inserts for the spools to come up higher. It is a nice finishing touch to a bike that never seems to be finished! Lou

Thanks Guys, I was lucky to have the original stand. I know, I should have taken pictures of this 'massive' job. Here is a picture of the chair bottom welded to the stand and the cross brace is gone. Again, thanks for the kind words. Lou
