Post subject:  Franco Farne

It is being reported in the Italian press that Franco Farne has died. Franco had been a employed in Ducati's experemental and race department since the 1950's. Franco played a big part in many of Ducati's racing sucesses including the Paul Smart's Imola win in 1972 and Mike Hailwoods 1978 IOM TT win.

In later years Franco headed up the team that gave Carl Fogarty four WSB world championships.

I have fond memories of working with Franco during the 1980's on the factory TT1 and TT2's.

RIP Franco.
