TT1 Alloy tanks

I have started making a small batch of TT1 aluminium tanks, (sorry, read 'aluminum' for our American friends). Driven mainly due to the issues with ethanol additives and glass fibre. If anyone out there has an interest please get in touch.

They have turned out rather well. A bit of a challenge, but curiously satisfying.
First one just finished.

I can see from your pictures why you are happy with your tanks.

Thanks for your kind words Graeme.

I have been building up to making these for a little while. I always made my own tanks for other Ducati,s going back almost 30 years ago, wow, scary, time fly's ! Hence I remember all too well how frustrating they can be. The hard learned lesson was firstly preparation, - and then patience. With that in mind, a great deal of preparation time has gone into making formers and tooling. Plus, I'm a bit older now.

Will these tanks fit the F1/Montjuic frame, my bike is going to be raced and I,d like to preserve my original ,in the event of? Thanks

The F1 frame tubes are straight along the whole length of the underside of the tank, however, I can alter the pattern to suit. Also the front mounts are 6mm screws to the underside at the corner lip to two frame lugs. I have a 750 F1 here so can make a tank (tanks) to that . Easy peasy.

How much are they Mike ? Good point !

The answer is NZ$1400 including a screw in breather valve. This figure probably means little to anyone who lives elsewhere than here on the moon. I will do an F1 tank for the same price.
My calculator says this equates to £725 uk, 868 euro, USD 1195.
--- And for you Mike, $1320 aus. all at todays exchange rates.
However, I failed my maths O level exam at school, so maybe check with your own sums.
