Thanks for the replies i have taken for ever to do my bikes but hopefully seeing the end for both of them. I have gone very very close to selling the lot a couple of times but have kept going. I keep changing them when i get the right parts so maybe thats why it has taken sooooo long

i have built a tt2 pipe for it and it has helped with the looks. Only need a few more parts tacho, torque arm and rear brake hanger with caliper, and brake lines. The engine is brand new and never been started,it was built by Ian Gowanloch.genuine verlicchi frame from Ian as well

I missed this picture. Really nice work on that TT2 pipe Jon. Let me know when they go into production! You've really done a hell of a job on this one! Lou

I guess this as as good a place as any to introduce myself.
I'm Nick Gill, and I am a design engineer from Auckland, New Zealand. I'm a huge two stroke enthusiast, however there isn't any decent 2T classes here, so I'm building this TT2 instead. I commute on a Vespa, Lambretta, or my MV Agusta F4.
Anyway, that's enough about me!

I'm building a TT2 currently from scratch.
To begin I bought an F3 donor, but after anguishing about tanks and whether or not to cut the frame up, I've moved on and bought a TT2 frame from Redfox.
It's currently on the water, so I'll put some pics up when it arrives.

Current build will look something like this:
F3 engine cases, 600 crank, 82mm Hi-comp pistons, ported F3 heads with big valves, 900SS cams.
Forks F1 Marzocchi 38mm, F3 swingarm.

The 400 F3 frame had a VIN plate welded on. Rumour was underneath would be a F1 frame number!
Of course murphys law prevailed and it was only a 350 F3 number, so that made up my mind to sell it on...

I may start a page when it all comes together, but to be honest I'm more of a lurker than a show-er.
Expect to be pestered by me in times of need and despair

Welcome aboard Nick!

That sounds like a fun project you have planned. Please do start a new thread, it makes it easier to follow the build.

Cheers,

Welcome. The F3 engine is not a bad one to work with. But if you are going to pester then you must post a page (new topic) of your project --- PPPP. MikeV
