I see it has a swing-arm and forks from a 1000DS SuperSport circa 2005,

Hi all
ok not a genuine TT1/F1 but my replica. Started out as the closest belt drive 750 Ducati to an F1 I could buy and rebuild as a road bike. "1988 750sport". During that time the track day bug bit and i turned it into this and then some classic Pre89 racing followed for 2 years. last year I decided to make it look more like a race bike that a road bike on the track and completed all mods as per the pictures. those who know the 750 sport models will know all the changes. Just need to respray the tank to suit, but needed to race it last Sat so this is how it's turned out so far.
cheers
Clive

Necessity being the mother of invention; I learned last night that you can make a cable end barrel out of an old Mikuni VM main jet. So the throttle's installed, the bike's got oil, spark and as soon as I get a break in the weather I can fire the DB1SR up and make some noise. ..Still have to dent the megga, bleed the hydraulics and install the sprockets and chains, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

When you see this do you think about running it as a "naked bike"? Thanks for these photos Steve. MikeV

Mostly, I just think about running it, Mike. But, yeah - it seems like such a shame to cover everything up with the DB1 bodywork. There was a time when I thought about running an F1 fairing upper and TT seat, but hey - it's a DB1..

I couldn't take the suspense any longer so I dragged the DB1 out of the office and into the shop this evening so I could lite her up. I'm using Fran's set-up on the Malossi 41s and that proved way too rich, but other than that, the throttle response was great, the motor didn't make any untoward noises and the sound was wicked. Can't wait to run this one in anger..

A bit of jetting, cable lube, a small leak on one of the oil line fittings and I can start doing some heat cycles.
