 Hi guys take it easy with me !
I have a Harris frame kit with a 500 motor in it And a bucket full of bits, and they realy are in a bucket!
A pantah with a 650 motor out of a cagiva A non finished project from the previous owner, the 500 motor belongs to the pantah.
And A 750 passo not in the best of shape but a runner.
Question Whats the best combination of parts for my TT project ?
I am new to the pantah motors as I have been running singles for a few years, Ducati
of corse.
The bike is for fun classic track days etc, I think I am past raceing now.
Apart from rebuilding the motor well what is the least expensive and first step in geting a little more power from it.

I,m sitting with a spare 500 motor ,i,ve got a 600 in my tt2,the 500 is a freer reving engine, not much difference top end in my experience, both in standard tune. If you decide to go 500 and want a deal,i,m looking for a 650 motor for my son,s race tt2,with cash of course. Or anyone fancy a bit of a deal,i need as much power as i can get as we,re doing the manx this year with a standard motor but would like/need more horses for next year if all goes to plan. Condition of 650 motor not too important as i expect to completely overhaul/rebuild to a good spec. Ian Charlton. 01388730585.

Hey Patt , you have to give good advice to our friend!

If I had a Harris frame, I'd do anything to bring it to its original splendor, I'd be willing to look for its members even if it means spending a lot of time.

I believe that we must respect the appearance of the bike, the bike is important.

This is my humble opinion.

Ciao. Carlo

Hi Ian, My plan with this so far is now to use all of the paso bits with the head off one of the outher motors.
then put the 500 back in the pantah and sell it as a bike,
this will keave me the 650 less rear head, as all the bits I have were unfinished projects
from the previous owner I want to run the motors in the pantah frame first.
so I look like haveing a few months at this over the winter.
I think the paso are the better forks ? But 16" rims ?

Yeah,i hope it all goes well for you. Regarding the forks,i think they will be fine,m1r,s work well enough and look good. In my experience of 16 inch wheels, the only problem is tyre availability, the 16,s on my Montjuich don,t affect the handling on a good flowing track, i like them as much as the 18,s on my tt2,plus they look good :)
