On a 80's film I saw one of the Ragazze fitting cylinder/piston sets on a Pantah engine. She put the circlip in with, I presume, a specially made tool. Just aligning wristpin and rod and a simple push followed by sliding the cylinder on the case. Anyone has seen such a tool ?

Don't remember where I saw that (factory) movie and it was filmed as in a general overview of the floor. At a few meters distance, a woman took a tool and with a simple push fitted the circlip, and sld the cylinder down to the cases.
Probably made on order, cause there are a few variables so that a general tool wouldn't Always work. Diameters of pistonpin, clip, inside pin etc.

The pictured tool is a Rotax piston circlip installer. The Rotax 18mm piston clips are a figlio di puttana to install (1mm thick wire) so I recently purchased this tool. Hope it will work on my Ducati single which uses the same clip. The larger cylinder has a taper inside which compressed the clip when pushed through with the piston. The long rod on the pusher centers the tool in the ID of the piston pin. Give the rounded end of the pusher a tap and it inserts the clip in the piston.
