Dear community, I'm considering different wheels for my TT2 - apparently the wheels of the SUZUKI GSX-R750 1985-1987 may be an improvement with the 18 x 2.5 front and 18 x 3.5 rear rims. I assume that they need to be machined to fit into the TT - has anyone done this (I've used the search function but did not find anything....)? I would be very pleased if someone may share the experience with that...many thanks in advance Wolf I've found this in our forum: gallery/image.php?album_id=30&image_id=434gallery/image.php?album_id=30&image_id=435so someone did it.....

If you are going to the trouble of adapting wheels to your TT2, 17" wheels will give you a wider selection of sticky tires and the rims will be more available. If you have a set of early GSXR wheels available you could find any number of Laverda triple owners as your new best friends. 90's Ducati and many Japanese middle weight wheels can be adapted with spacers/machine work.

Hmm, I guess I am sticking out my neck here, but I think it is a shame to use heavy mid-80:s Japanese wheels on a jewel as a TT... Having said that, I KNOW that price and availability speaks against the more attractive alternatives.

I mentioned these in an earlier post and stumbled across the set in my shop. Wanted to say its not a bad option for a cheap set of 18's. They are the lightest stock Japanese wheels I know of although the cush sprocket holder is heavy. 300mm sv650 rotors bolt on. I have a machine shop if anyone needs some help. Measure everything you can so we can compare notes

That will be a good-looking set of custom wheels Wolf. But now I have lathe envy; I want one big enough to hold a wheel! MikeV
