Hi Carlo,

this looks like a real adventure - you are really a man complete without any fear

...I (me: not so brave) did similar things but with holes of smaller diameters and therefore also with smaller gain in weight loss.

But: there is still something you can do, although almost no material is left - cut the opener rockers and use the spring clips of the modern Ducatis...

cheers

Wolf

Hello, thank you for your compliments, I would say that based on the modern rocker with clip.

I have the rockers Monster, but I chose that solution for the reason of having an alignment and rigidity and precision very much more accurate.

The rocker and the spring are good for highway engines, and for those who want to fast in coupons, but a race bike, the lap time is important, but the time on the shop floor for processing, it is long-term.

I hope that my translator did a good job. Ciao Dall'Italia. Carlo ;)

Carlo,

The parts look great. I have always liked swiss cheese! Do you have a before and after weight for the gears? I am planning on doing the exact same thing to my 650 race engine over the winter.

Do you think there will be any problems with rocker arms flexing or breaking since you removed the top ridge?

Dave
