I have seen a number of new old stock Marzocchi GP forks, all with quite different colours from shades of gold, through bronze to the puse green. I am unsure as to if there is a definitive answer here.
This topic is of particular interest as I re-manufacture them from scratch. Although out of stock just now until I can somehow find the time to machine the 20 pairs of mag castings on the shop floor for the next batch.
I also have had some legs made of the larger 38mm F1 style pattern, but designed them 5mm larger in diameter to accept 41mm tubes running on bushes.

I'm with Glyn on this one the colors vary quite a bit. I went to my local commercial auto body paint store and they matched an original leg with a computer matching machine and then put it in a spray can for me. I don't think they gave me a formula. I will take a look at the can tomorrow and see. Same problem with Marvic gold magnesium wheels but I have found a Krylon brand paint that works well then (as with the forks) I spray them with an automotive satin clear laquer so it has a bit more durability. About as good as the original, which isn't so good! Lou

Hello fellow Ducati fanatics!!! The local paint man matched the original forks to this colour. It had a satin finish, so on with the decals followed by some clear to seal it. Hope it helps. Boucher.

Hi Lou.
Earned the color, I like, it's the tone I'm looking for.
It would be a great help if you still preserves the formula!!

Thanks!!!

Hi Boucher.

Seems a brighter tone, but I think the color is achieved.
I'll see if they recognize these codes in EU :?:

Thanks.

Something of note on this topic is not simply the colour, but the colour's tone. Neither full gloss, nor matt, - a tone somewhere between the two, (depending on the prior colour preference of the user- and perception of colour) hmm -- complicated.

If you were to sit, say 30 people, in a room to paint the same vase of flowers, the results are 30 different paintings of the same thing.

Vive la difference !

You're right, but I think Lou has gotten ;)

I hope you find the formula
