Was wondering if any of you can help me to connect correctly the pickup wiring to my 4-pin molex connector and Ignitech ignition.

Engine is a 750 Sport '89. The pickup wires are coloured red - white and black - yelloy.

The 4-pins molex connector on the bike are white - white/black (O) and white - white/black (V).

460
461
462

Want to use a new superseal connector to connect the wires.
The manuals can't help me further which coloured wire i must connect to which white or white/black.

Thanks,
William

Firstly I am presuming your Ignitech unit is a TCIP4.

As long as you connect the "0" - for horizontal, and "V" for Vertical cylinders on the 4 pin connector either of the two pairs of pickup wires the Ignitech software can take care of it.
OK, so you come to start the bike and it won't run, but occasionally backfires. On the Ignitech software "BIKE" tab of the for the TCIP4 unit you will see an option "pickups interchange pin 9 and 20". Click on this and it will swap the channels round for the pickups making the vertical the horizontal etc. As for polarity of either pickup you wired, it works it out automatically on start up and accounts for it running either positive or negative without you getting involved.

Don't be scared of it. They are really easy to use.

I connected the wires and the bike ran immedately. Yes!
Thanks.

But..., the ignitech software recognizes the bike as a Yamaha r6... , but I only count two cilinders... :D
Which bikesetting is correct?

William
