Post subject:  A serious question on a phm!

Hi All, Just a quick question did rossi kick him? No that's not it , So what I'm hearing is the difference between a set of phm 38mm and a set of malossi 40mm is the size of the bore/choke and no accerator pumps/blanking plates. I like beer and Friday nights. Boucher!!!

What engine oil should I use...wait..... one more thing anyway, Malossi's have bigger o.d., longer, and much stronger slide return springs. I suspect there are other not so obvious differences as well. 38's better for torque??

The guts (slides, [bigger softer] springs, and spring tops) of a Malossi are quite different, as well as the obvious differences on the outside (plunger chokes, pumps removed and blanked, and big bellmouths added). Many do not have idle speed adjustment screws. Here are a few shots of a good example:
