Hello...
Some time ago I bought an alazzurra based race bike that was punched out to 750cc. The seller told me all the great things about the bike except that a chain was thrown at some point and busted up the cases around the counter shaft sprocket. So now I want to rebuild the engine with new cases. What I want to know, is there a set of later 750 cases (monster sport SS ) that will be compatible with all the guts out of the alazzurra motor :?: . I know about the swing arm issue and that won't be a problem.

Thanks in advanced...
Bob

The 750 Sport, early 750SS (up to 92 with big swingarm pin), and the Paso (with the odd swingarm hole) all have much bigger gears and different-sized bearing on two ends of the shafts, the latter which cannot easily be installed into the Pantah cases. Even the last of the F1s have different bearings on one or two of the shafts, I believe. After '93 all the small-cc cases have the small (20mm) swingarm pin too. So, your gears will not "drop" into any of them. A 750 Sport bottom end would be quick, or find a nice Pantah 650 case (Ed Milich?) and have it bored for your cylinders using a horizontal mill.
