On the subject of cams, I remember Pablo Real talking about drilling and balancing the cams in his F1. The one with the dimpled sidecovers and holes in everything. Must have been in the late 80's. I guess access to machine tools can be dangerous.

That bike was the 1985 Milan show bike! Pablo is an interesting guy, he was fast. Here is a picture I just received tonight of that very bike before it was swiss cheesed. Lou

What? This was a prank question? I have been staying up late drilling holes and calculating windage drag over an april fools joke?
OK not really but I did take a stab at balancing the cams (900SS) on my TT1 based both on dynamic valve train and rotating loads. Results is its cant be done (or not by me). Now does anyone want to buy the Brooklyn Bridge? I understand Lou has it for sale.
Happy Easter

You would be suprised at how you can quite easly alter the "shape" of a cam shaft lobe by brazing a bit of brass on to it and shaping it with a small file and some emery / wet and dry abrasive paper. You will also be suprised how long a piece of smooth and squared up brass will last for under operating conditions !!

Very cool Cranky! And I though only Munro and Lon Allen drilled that many things. MikeV

Hello Friends, Hello Lou, I've been to Reno's birthday, I have tried to speak English, but unfortunately I had to use my friend Rik ..... I think I have not understood the meaning of your statement, I realized that I made a good engine?
