You will also be suprised how long a piece of smooth and squared up brass will last for under operating conditions !! Pat, Would this process also be effective for filling in small pits? I have some cams that had sat around and unfortunately some of the lobes have a couple of shallow pits. It would be great to be able fill those in and make the cams useable again. I am also assuming that the cam would need to be quenched right after the brazing process so the hardening is not lost? Thanks, Dave

a friend of mine did rectify the cam pantah 350, turning them into cam "P" .... it is just to remove the material and do it again hardening.

Lou, That picture of Pablo looks like it was taken at Summit Point. It also looks like our friend Peter Calles right behind him.

Q Lou: Is Peter Calles the fellow who ran some restaurants in NY, and had a large Ducati collection that was featured in the bike mags 15 or more years ago? If so, what happened to him? MikeV

Hi Mike, Peter is alive and well. I think he lives in the Maryland area and has a beautiful collection of Ducati's and MV Augusta as well as others. His collection has been in magazines partly because he is a bachelor and has motorcycles and memorabilia all over his house! I do not know about the restaurantour aspect of his life, but he is a really good guy, always helpful, and a super enthusiast. He bought his F1a at the factory and still has it unused. Lou

Thanks Lou. Yes, that is the guy I remember. Funny how you can have more motorcycles if you are single, isn't it Lou? I would love to just put one (the No. 8) or two in a room we have. MikeV
