Hi I am useing a pair of phf 36, one pump lets fuel in as the slide opens right from the stop,
the outher pump is leting allmost nothing through the slide operates the diaphram at around half throttle
I have striped them but cant find anything obvious,
aproxamatly when do the pumps operate right away or is there a delay as the slide rises ?
or am I better to get rid of the pumps alltogether ?
Any advice welcome. :(

There is a number under the slide eg 70/2 or 60/4
The first number is the cut away, the number after the slash is where the pump will start etc.

Are they new 36's?

It is possible that the diaphragm is bad, or that the small adjustment screw is to far out. There is a scientific method in the Dellorto carb manual, but you could just turn it in gradually to see if this changes things. Does it look to be the same length out when compared to the one that is working? Could also be that the plastic arm is bent; they tend to warp over time. Or, maybe the peg on it is missing. MikeV
