 Post subject: Stainless bolts to clamp caliper?

Stainless bolts to clamp caliper ? any views on this I have been told not a good idea as they strech ?

For bolting the caliper halves together I use Ti bolts with the proper anti-seize and the lubricated Ti torque value. Won't corrode either, but you get a big un-sprung weight savings. Not so much of a savings in cost though. Don't know if the stainless bolts will stretch, Mr. Cranky should be answering this.

has been reported to me the usual version, and that means that there is danger of breakage, I frankly I've always used buloni and nuts and I've never had any problems, definitely a steel bolt 8/8 is more durable than a Bulone of stainless steel, but as you can shear an 8 mm bolt which holds a brake caliper? For me it is impossible. This is my personal opinion.
