Mike, I am looking for a pair of 38's something more suiting to the early 80's era.
Thanks Paul

Early F1 (Red) and MHR 38mm Marzocchi forks are generally easy to find and fetch between US$500 - $900. Triple clamps average about < $300.

38mm Forcelle Italia forks are less common and more sexy/macho 8-) looking fetch around $1,500. I know of a set but they only have one caliper mount for single disk setup.

Let me know if this is what you are after and I will keep an eye out for you and ping you when something comes up.

Cheers,
Mike

Thanks Mike,
I like the idea of a single disc set up.
A couple of different variations have been offered to me in the last day.
Thanks Paul

Lots of action in the past 10 days and not all of it good!!
Jetting was going well on the dyno when the cush bearing let go, so a little redesign of the cush with a larger diameter id and od bearing!
All is well going back to the dyno tomorrow,af ratio was still a little fat but power curve is getting smoother.
Main jet has dropped from a 168 to a 158, pilot is 65 on the vertical cylinder, horizontal not done yet.
I am so glad Steve M got me to put bungs in the primary pipes!
On another note I found some really nice seat foam with a 3m adhesvie backing, cut to shape warm with a heat gun and voila it takes the shaoe you want and holds!

Finally first chance to ride the Moretti at a track, Grattan Raceway in Michigan, tight lots of off camber and blind turns!
I can't believe how the bike handles, it is amazing, what a gas!!!
Now the bad news, at about 8k going into 5 the inake valve on the vertical cylinder decided to leave its post, I got the clutch in and stayed upright but there is a mess in combustionchamber and the piston.
I will get it apart and post some pics!!
Almost forgot the 848 in the photo had as much luck as I did and blew up in the morning, mine in the afternoon!

I'm glad that the bike is nice to ride, I'm not happy that the bike was damaged.

in Italy when a thing happens so usually speaks in one way of saying: Ma porcaputtana troia....accidenti a....vacca maiala impestata!!!!!
